Intricately detailed ceramic tile made from a mold of a petroglyph carved into a rock which is located in Phippsburg, Maine. The tile adorns an intricate layering of hues and glossy finish reminiscent of the ocean. This technique helps to eloquently capture the essence of the rock site. Equipped with hanging accommodations.

About The Process: A petroglyph is carved into rock using a variety of traditional techniques. A mold is then made of the carving on site and translated into a slab of cast clay at the artists studio, forever capturing the unique textures and energy of the original site. Each piece is one of one.
